Can't add any new content but can read/write to NAS

My setup:
iMac running latest version of MacOS
Nas is WD mycloudmirror gen 2 (Yes I know it’s out of support)

I have all my music/movies (aka iTunes) on my nas which has worked for years. Currently I can watch any movie or listen to any song without any issue.

The issue is when I try to add new content. I get various error messages indicating it cannot write to the drive (screenshots attached).

I was working with Apple. He suggested trying to move a file from desktop to the root share which would not work. He suspects a permissions issue. When in finder at the top it shows “connected as guest” Apple assumed that was the issue. Apple of course also said they don’t support external NAS. FYI when I went into the iTunes share I could move a file. Another weird thing is that when I do a get info on any file from the NAS permissions look wonky (unless this is normal). Showing non NAS file vs. Nas file permissions

I tried disconnecting and connecting as admin (which is in my WD portal which I can login to). However, I still get the same issue - shows as connected a guest and won’t let me add new content.

Any thoughts?

Yes I looked but will do more

No I didn’t open a ticket as this product has been obsoleted. They won’t talk to me

But thanks @riyan_shaik

Curious if anyone has any thoughts?

It is not that anyone is keeping anything from you but yourself. It only takes 30 seconds to find the correct subforum where there could be someone familiar with your device to give you an informed answer.

The My Cloud Home which is the subject of this subforum is completely different in hardware and software from the legacy My Cloud series. The two devices have nothing in common.

Cheers.

Thanks DID NOT know that. I rarely post on here, so it was a simple mistake
