Can't access My Book

My MY BOOK external drive was working fine,now suddenly I can’t access it. It shows up in Windows Device Manager as MyBook USB device,but is not  listed with other drives in My Computer. Device Manager says the drive is not initialized.

Does it show in Disk Management? If so what does it say down where the bars are? What OS are you using?

The drive shows up in Disk Management,but it won’t let me initialze it because it’s write protected. Using Vista 64 bit.
