Can't access dashboard either, tried everything

Oh I got disgusted with MyCloud and threw it away years ago! In addition to the problems I previously cited:

  • It would not perform a routine copy of files from one folder to another or between the MyCloud and any external volume. It always claimed that an identical file already existed at the destination, but containing 0 bytes. Absurd and frustrating. This was not a disk hardware issue.
  • WD removed the ability to shut down the MyCloud by user interface. WD Support acknowledged this but told me simply to unplug the device from power if I wanted to shut it down. I considered that to be dubious advice - and have no idea why they removed the shut down command.
  • The plastic tab that kept the lid closed broke on normal use. I never abused it or overused it.

I switched to Synology NAS and have not looked back.
