Up until today, I would log into my computer, a window to enter my password would appear, I would enter my password and the external drive would fire up.
Today I logged on aaaaaaaaand, nothing. No window or anything. I clicked on the icon, and a smartwear window popped up urging me to log into drop box. Tried, and it told me I had to purchase it - with no other choice I paid the 20 bucks. Guess what? It won’t recognize my Email or password!
So now I can’t access my external drive or drop box and I’m out $20 too…
I go into My Computer, and I can’t see the drive either. I tried downloading the Windows Data Lifeguard Diagnostics, but because the drive doesn’t show up, I can’t test it with that either.
All of my work files are on this drive, so I need to know how I can access it again. I have tried rebooting the dirve, updating the drive and rebooting the computer, and nothing has worked.
I am not a computer type, so any directions need to be in VERY simple English, please.
