Cannot see my files in "WD My Passport Ultra 2TB"

Hi, 

I bought “WD My Passport Ultra 2TB Portable External USB 3.0” couple of months back. It was working fine till yesterday, when i connected to laptop, its showing the used space and free spce, but i open the hard drive the files are missing in the drive. I have approximately 300GB data in the disk.

I copied some files into the disk now, am able to see the only newly copied files and able to access them.

I want my old files back, what should i do now? Please advise on this one.

I am using Windows 7 OS.(I tried with different laptops)

Try going into folder options and check show hidden files Aand see it ahything shows up.

Thanks for your reply. I tried this before but no luck. “show hidden files, folders and drives” already selected
