Cannot save Microsoft Project files

I am encountering an issue where if I try to create and save a new Microsoft Project file directly to the drive it appears, and immediately disappears. However, if I save the file to another drive and then copy it to a MyDrive folder it will remain in place. I can even edit it after copying it to the drive.

Has anyone else seen a similar issue?
