Cannot read external on pc after playing movie

after removing external from wd cannot access file folder with videos in it error filename directory name or syntax incorrect wondering if wd locked folder if so how to get access back thru pc

Chances are the folder is corrupted

try running chkdsk to scan and fix errors on the PC

backup all data if possible just in case
