Cannot put MyBook into standby

Hello,

I have a MyBook 8TB external drive, connected to a Windows 10 PC. I have tried using the WD Drive Utilities app to put the drive into standby, but the setting is not accepted.

When I remove the drive and reconnect it to the PC, and restart the WD Drive Utilities app, the previous setting is retrieved from the drive and is displayed in the app. However, it still ignores the setting.

When I put the PC into standby, the drive follows it into standby, and its internal disk spins down.

Can anyone help?

Did you have a fix on this issue? Challenging a relative issue yet no response from anyone and couldn’t see this point taking a gander at in google.
