Cannot login: JavaScript error in Chrome browser

I just purchased a 4TB MY Cloud, set it up yesterday, got the latest firmware. Everything seemed working. This morning, I am unable to login using Chrome. Data is erased/not showing up in the password field. The browser inspector shows this:

A 4-second reset is often needed after a firmware upgrade. It shouldn’t be, but it is.

This will also clear the admin password.

4-second reset? I am assuming you mean rebooting. I did that via the web panel. I still have the same problem.

Note that it works in IE, but not in Chrome. I also tried clearing cookies, but to no avail.

No. A 4 second or 40 second reset is done via the reset button on the back of the My Cloud device.
