Cannot interact directly from my Mac to MyCloud Home

Last year when I setup MyCloud Home on my iPad Pro the interaction was seamless with MyCloud appearing identically as folders and files on my iPad. Then abruptly that stopped allowing me only to interact with ‘Home’ device through browsers and primitive interface and comm software. What happened and how do I restore the service as it was sold to me?

This subforum (OS5 My Cloud) discusses the My Cloud which is a different device than the My Cloud Home. It uses a different operating system and has different features than the My Cloud Home device.

One can read the user manual and setup instructions for their device by accessing the Support menu link at the top of the page and navigating through WD Support’s website to the product support page for their device.
