Cannot find screen to add backup plan

I’m feeling pretty stupid but I can’t find the screen to add a backup plan and thus select a storage device (page 13 of the user guide) so I can’t schedule and start a backup. The portable drive is a 2 TB Passport Ultra and I’m running Windows 7…

As far as I can tell, I’ve installed all the utilities that came with the drive.

I hope that someone can pint out the obvious thing I’m missing here. Thanks, in advance, for any suggestions.

Welcome to the WD Community.

Are you trying to create the backup with the WD Backup or the WD Smartware? If is the WD Backup, when you select the passport, are you able to click on next on the bottom right side?

I am also having a problem adding my back up plan. I have installed all the software. On the page WD Apps Set up I have been trying to select the option WD back up files and when I click on the icon nothing happens.

Please advise how to create my WD back up plan?
