Cannot connect to Twonky server after upgrade to OS5

Hi,

I have been running OS5 on my WD My Cloud for years and today have decided to upgrade to OS5 (big mistake!?).

After the upgrade, i have then reinstalled Twonky server (v8.5.2-5) but haven’t been able to connect to it to configure the DLNA server. When in Apps-> Twonky Server, i clicked [Configure] but with an error ‘ refused to connect’. I have also tried to open the page manually using :9000 with the same error.

Please can someone explain how to get it working again.

I meant to say I have been running OS3 for years but upgraded to OS5 today hence the problem.

:9000 doesn’t work

One can try Delete Database and Configuration Files as detailed in the following WD Knowledge Base article and see if that fixes (anything).

My Cloud OS 5: Twonky Server Configuration and Settings

Or as previously suggested one can try rolling back, at their own risk, to OS3 and leave all the various OS5 issues behind. Use the forum search feature, magnifying glass icon upper right, to search both this subforum and the My Cloud OS3 subforums for various posts on trying to roll back to OS3 from OS5.

Is Twonky showing in the Dashboard?

No worries. Thanks all for your help.
Twonky is now working in OS5. It is just that there is a long delay for Twonky to startup (at least 40mins) once it’s installed. I can now connect to it to configure as before.
