Cannot connect to 4TB

I recently moved home and setup My Cloud. It seems to start up ok but the blue light does not appear and the drive does not show up on my laptop (macair)
Help please

A bit more information is needed.
What color is the front LED?
Has the My Cloud worked in the past at this location?
Does the network router hand out an IP address to the My Cloud?

What other troubleshooting steps have you tried? Like replacing the network cable from the My Cloud to the router. Have you tried using a different networking port on the router (usually there are four posts on most consumer level routers).

In certain rare cases certain broadband provider routers conflict with the My Cloud. The workaround is to put a network switch between the My Cloud and the router.
