Cannot access SSH to recover data

I was having trouble with access from my garage computer. I did not think this through but I logged in and deleted the garage account and re-created it. That part worked.
In Shares there is Garage with 3.6 gig and garage with 4.1 kb.
When you go to the drive through Windows it only shows garage and it is empty.

I was trying to use Easus to recover the data. It wanted to use SSH. I turned SSH on and it tells me username root and password welc0me. I put that into Easus and after a couple of minutes it tells me that the password has expired.

I am so close yet so far. I can see the data exists in the share screen. I also tried turning public access on and off but I am coming up close.

Any advice is appreciated!

Use a program like Putty to access the My Cloud using SSH for the first time and change the My Cloud SSH password. The My Cloud will force a password change when you first access through SSH using the default username and password (root/welc0me).
