I have the My Book World Edition II (2 x 1 TB), and am running Windows XP. Yesterday, the drive froze up and I had to restart it. Now the “public” and “download” folders are no longer recongized, and I cannot access any data. Discovery recognizes the drive, will not allow me to map the folders. In the web configuration, the disk manager shows both disks with “good” status. But when I go to “Manage Volume”, the DataVolume (striped) says “failed”. Does this mean I lost my data? Is there any way to scan for errors on a network drive? Someone please help!!
omg, I am in the same boat, this software is like constipation, it take hours to resolve a simple issue. if someone can advie please!!!
