Cannot access My Cloud but can ping with no light

I cannot access My Cloud. I can ping it. I see no light in front (not blue, not red, not blinking. as in no light at all.) Also my admin credentials (username/password) are being rejected.

What’s happening?

Trying putting your hand over the vent.
Do you feel head? is the HDD spinning?
Drive could be failing with bad sectors or something. You could try 40 sec pin reset though.

@gio888 Do you have a 1st or 2nd generation My Cloud? What are the LEDs on the rear doing, if anything? Are you trying to sign into the dashboard? If something different, then what?

I feel spinning.
Tried 4 sec reset. Didn’t work.
Tried 40 sec reset. It worked!

Now I can access the files and dashboard but I still cannot see LED light. Is this normal?

How do I determine which gen?
Light at LAN ports are blinking.
Tried to sign in dashboard and nothing happens.

Anyways, I solved it with a 40 sec reset. Now I can access the files and dashboard but I still cannot see LED light. I did quick disk check thru utilities and it passed. But no lights even when working is normal?

If it’s a 1st generation, Firmware 04.xx.xx, the front blue LED does stop working. Mine has been out for over a year now, but, my My Cloud still works.
