Can we access private shares if the MBL is connected directly to a pc with the lan cable?

I want to transfer files to a private share without using the slower wireless connection. Is there a way to do this?

I’m having speed problems transferring files to my MBL over my network.

How do I access my private shares when I plug my MBL directly?

I only see the public folder.
