Can´t eject my Passport

hello, can anyone help.

When I try to eject my passport on my home laptop I get an error message that it is in use close all programs.   All programs are closed.  I´m using windows 7.

On my work computer XP this problem doesn´t occur.  

It´s really annoying as I have to keep switching the computer off to unplug.

Go into the Device Manager find the drive right click and select properties then policies and check use write caching. Are you using any automatic backup software that may be running in background?
