Is it possible that all the files on my computer can be erased by Passport if I set it up incorrectly. The only other external hard drive I used to back up I used kept backing up my files over and over and took up too much space on the external hard drive. I also had difficulty retrieving files as they were not categorized by name. I am afraid to play around to learn to use this Passport if it can change the files on my laptop. Can it?
Don’t see how that could happen. The backup software that comes with the passport “Smartware” will only copy files.
