Can not open my wd passport 1TG

I have a My Passport Essential SE (USB 3.0) 1TG and I have used it for over 3 years now, but suddenly it will not work on my computer, tried to open it on other computer also unsuccessfully.

The flaw is that I can not open the files I have saved and are prompted to format the hard disk before I can use it.

If I Formats so I will lose all data.

Help me please

It unfortunately seems to be a case of data corruption. Have you tried an online search for data recovery software?
