For Passport Essential 250Gb - model WDBAAA2500ABK - I looked at User Guide, Specs tab, Knowledgebase,… - nowhere was able to find:
Spinning - 5400rpm or 7200rpm
Cache - 8 or 16
?
I found on Internet another vnedor’s item:
250GB 7200RPM 16MB cache Travel Lite 2.5" USB Portable External Hard Drive
and wnat to compare as that other item requires some installation of the drive itself into some “enclosure” and also USB connector there is a double-end connector (probably for 2.0 and 1.1?) which as I’ve read not handy.
So I’d rather buy WD but wanted to learn these 2 parameters first…
By the way, if WD is 5400rpm - is it much slower that 7200rpm?
