Hi All
I have an old mycloud drive that runs OS3. Now I have purchased the mycloud ex2 Ultra that runs OS5. Is there a quicker/efficient way to transfer the data to the new drive ? via USB? or via network is the only way?

Yes.
Network is much faster than USB and with USB you have to copy twice.
Anyway use rsync from an ssh shell . If you have no idea how to run rsync ask a local Linux geek who will likely be excited help you.

And no I don’t know of any simpler way as any other solution will involve client agents and/or multiple copies (ie like Windows Explorer to copy from NAS1 to Windows to NAS2 – also orders of magnitude slower than rsync ).
both ways work but if you have been making USB backups then you only need to do a USB restore.
I try to make 2 NEW copies of data on external MyBook USB drives before moving to a new NAS system AND I keep the old NAS hard drives as an additional backup.
USB Backup app uses some form of rsync
Thanks, I want to keep my original files on the old Nas and my new Nas will be the backup too. So I have ordered the EX ULTRA 8tb drive, how can I set it up raid 0 so I utilise all of the data, I don’t want that drive to create backups.
