Can I span two Passport drives with Windows 7?

I have Win7 and two Passport USB drives.

I would like to ‘span’ the two drives and make them appear as one, large drive.

I’m trying to use Disk Management in Computer Management.

One of the drives is listed as ‘Free Space’. The other as ‘Unallocated’.

I believe the problem occurs when I am in the step to ‘Convert to Dynamic’.

I get back a window that says ‘The operation is not supported by the object’.

Thanks for any help.

If this approach won’t work is there some other way to combine the two empty drives

into one larger drive?

If disk management is not letting you do a natural RAID then it’s possible that the drives don’t support to be RAID’d. Try a RAID software and see if it helps.
