Can I run software off of a My Book External Hard Drive?

Hi, I’ve recently got a My Book 2TB Hard Drive to put all of my stuff on as I only have a 500GB SSD and I was wondering if I could put things such as games on there, I know that it won’t be as fast but it will help with all of my storage.

Hello, if your computer is USB 3.0 It should be fast enough, I have installed games on external drives in the past, however my computer is USB 3.0 capable and I had no problem.
