The other day my 2 TB, started acting funny and kicking in and out… while looking @ it, I realised the USB port felt loose, after unplugging and inspecting I noticed upon Plug in that it wasn’t connected @ all. I now have it apart and a friend said solder will never fix the issue because the way it is manufactured. Is there a Replacement that I can BUY?
No they don’t sell replacement boards. If it’s a drive with Smartware the data is encrypted whether or not you set a password.

They’ll be able to recover the data… but what will they charge to crack the encryption and decrypt the data?
