Can I partition my passport?

My wife and I are both Administrators on the one PC. We have separate photo, Document and music folders. when I am on my Administrator site the passport backs up all my material. I f my wife is on her site and the passport is plugged in it overwrites all my Data with hers.

Is there a way round this problem?

if you are using smartware then no need to partition the drive.

smartware will not overwrite your files if your wife will backup her files using the software.

smartware will backup files and categorize them by computer name and users…

rest assured that it will not delete your files.

well to answer your question you can partition, the wd smartware will only read and write on the first partition though… so theres no point of partitioning. thus, partitioning the drive will just make your files be unstable. :slight_smile:
