Can I format my 4TB WD Elements SE to exFAT without any problem?

I am a little scared about formating my new WD portable Drive, since it’s my first 4TB. I need to format mine to exFAT to use it on Windows and Mac, but i’m worried about damaging it, or losing my warranty or not being able to use WD programs anymore. I’m accepting advices - about how to do it the right way - and answers about my concerns!

I’ve formatted several 2TB WD Elements SE and my 4TB WD Elements SE to exFAT (using 3rd party software) years ago without any dramas

You won’t lose your Warranty by formatting it … and whatever WD programs that support it should/will keep working it regardless of the file system format.
