I own 3 WD Sharespace - 2x4TB and 1x8TB - and recently [made the mistake of] upgrading two of them to FW 2.2.93.
Results : inacceptable transfer rates, hangouts during reads (NFS or SMB), abrupt restarts… The boxes have become unsuitable for their purpose - serving video files to a media player - and at this hour I’m not even sure one of them will ever complete start up again.
I have read this forum.
=> Can I, and how, go back to firmware 2.1.92? It worked fine for two years.
=> Or do I have to buy a pair of NAS servers from another company asap, and transfer my data before it is too late?
