Can EX4 and EX2100 be formatted to HFS+?

I’d like to use the EX4 or EX2100 like an external drive, not a NAS with a browser interface and a file system in the back that can not be read in other enclosures without installing ext4 drivers on my Mac.

My Passport Wireless Pro is a DAS/NAS exFat which can be formatted as HSF+.
Connect to Mac as DAS or access wireless as a NAS.
The UI is only available in NAS mode
