I have problem with My Cloud, that he is not accessible everyday, I must restart it and then I can access it on web, network share, ftp etc. When I can’t access it I still can ping him. Newest firmware is installed. So where is the problem ?
possibly its busy scanning the media
have you put a large amount of file into it?
it takes time to finish the scan, it can be up to months, and with the poorly written script it will usually cause the whole wdmycloud to be dead apparently
i suggest to allow it to sit for a longer time, like a week, if nothing improved, restart it and see
repeat this procedure a few times, usually you will find its back to live suddenly (when it has finally finished scanning, you will have your working wdmycloud again!)
