Cable will not insert into WD Elements T2

No QRG in package.
Non-USB end of cable will not insert into drive.
There is a miniscule piece of metal inside the female opening of drive that appears to be pressing on the port, preventing alignment. Is this a lever?

I own several 2TB WD Elements USB Portables and a few 4TB WD Elements USB Portable

There is no “lever”

Sounds like your drive has a damaged or has a faulty usb connector … return it.
