BUG in writing information for resuming video

Hi all,

i’ve noticed a bug in the WD TV Live Media during the creation of the folder .wd_tv in “Network shares” mode (i can’t test it in “Media servers” mode because of user rights problem…).

Here is a short description of the reproduction process (with the tree view of my folders)

Reproduction process :

  • Root Folder
    • First level
      • Specials characters
      • normal_folder
        • .wd_tv
    • First level
      • folder_without_space
        • .wd_tv

if my films are in the folder “Specials characters” (with space or accentuated characters like é è ê etc.) the WD will not be able to create the “.wd_tv” folder otherwise it will be created.

Even i create manually the folder “.wd_tv” the WD will not be able to write the file “video_resume_point_table” in it. It seems to be unable to manage this particular cases.

That is a GREAT FIND.

I have been working with WD on this issue for a few weeks;  I’ve forwarded a link to this post to the WD Tech I’ve been working with.
