BUG - Delete more than one file and it deletes the wrong ones!

Firstly, Its absurd to think that someone with a brain decided to force us to have to play a file in order to delete it!

To make matters worse, it deletes the wrong files unless you refresh the entire folder

e.g. Say you have 8 tv episodes 1 through 8 and want to delete episodes 1 to 4

  1. View the folder

  2. PLAY file 1, then OPTIONS then DELETE, then YES, then STOP to return to the folder view

  3. Go down to file 2 in the list and repeat step 2 to delete it.

  4. Repeat for the third and fourth files

  5. You will find it has deleted files 1, 3,5 & 7!

Also, really need the facility to delete a folder

Hi csiman1, you should be able to press the option button on top of the file that you would like to delete and then select the delete option. Regarding your problem with WD Play deleting the wrong files, what firmware version your have?

I have the latest firmware

if you highlight a file, OPTIONS does not give a DELETE option

you have to be playing the file for OPTIONS to show a DELETE option

Any resolution or am I stuck with this bug?
