Buffalo WLI-UC-GN / WD Live Plus / Netgear WNDR3700 - WD Live does not see 5ghz Network?

 When I have the WLI-UC-GN plugged into the WDLive Plus and scan for networks, it does not see the 5ghz network, only the slower G network. I also plugged it into my laptop and it won’t see the N band … am I expecting too much, or just not understanding what I am doing? =P

The WLI-UC-GN isn’t dual band.  It’s only 2.4 GHz.
