Budget router for my cloud

Hi All
First post. Forgive my relative lack of knowledge, am on a steep curve!

I recently bought a 2tb my cloud mainly so I can access all of my music by wifi. The current set up (sky 2013 hub) did not yeild good results. Lots of skipping, Less with mp3 and more with Flac, predictably.

I have upgraded the ethernet and adsl cables but no tangible difference there. I need opinions on the Linksys XAC1200 router if anyone is using it with a my cloud? I am on a budget and it is well priced at the moment. Reviews are mixed generally but I was wondering if this router, (including 3.0 usb) is worth a punt? Can anyone suggest a budget router (2 band, 3.0 usb?) which is working for them?

Do you have a My Cloud or a My Cloud Home?

For a router stick with an 802.11ac and depending on how many people you have on your network using it you may want one that is MU-MIMO, Dual Band 2.4 and 5 GHz.

Have you visited the Linksys website and checked to see if there are any reviews on the one you want to buy?
