Brand new wd elements 18tb makes clicking voice constantly

hello…my brand new wd elements 18tb makes clicking voice at read or write even on empty.is it damaged or what ? and is there a firmware update for this one…thank you

If the headers are clicking, backup your things right away. If the drive stops working, you’ll need to bring it to replace the headers and recover the data, but after that your hd will be trash.
