My wdmycloud has been working perfectly for 2 months and now suddenly starts dropping off the network again

why cant this work properly for any length of time?

Have you tried setting a static IP?

How to configure a WD My Cloud or WD My Cloud EX4 Personal Cloud drive with a Static IP

Of course - and it’s outside of my IP range
