does anyone know if the media live plus will play through the Bose cinemate connecting optical?
If, so what settings were used in Audio/Video?

If it’s a standard optical connection then there should be no issues. The option to select is audio pass-through via optical.

For anyone that would like to know,
after all the testing that i have done i found that the bose Cinemate series II will work with the media player.
You must set the digital optical to on in audio/video preferences.
Sounds very good too…
