Hi try a copy of HD sentinal to test it but yes that drive is very old. you can download it here.  and choose this file  Hard Disk Sentinel Trial v4.20 (ZIP)

Good Morning I am sorry but I get the same message as I did with the above link…

I did check and I am admin. on computer

I think I got it now, I had downloaded the diagnosis tool to my desktop, I right clicked and chose to extract here, so it unzipped the tool and started the scan, sorry this is full page I am having a problem using MS Paint.

Thanks for your help

Hi as with all things in a pc they need to be reseated in there slots or cables unplugged and plugged back in once in awhile. I would unplug the ide cable from the board and hard drive and just replug it back in see if the errors stop. The data lifguard seems to pass the drive so it may only be a cable problem.

Thanks I will wait until tomorrow to do this because we have some serious weather coming in tonight

I will post back after I take care of this tomorrow…

Hi I reset all you suggested including the ide cable and hard drive, I also cleaned out the dust bunnys computer is running great. I appreciate all your help.
