Blue rapid flashing status light at end of upgrade

Started upgrade to OS 5. Download completed. Now have rapid flashing blue light. Still flashing after 24 hours.
Have 2 WD My Clouds. No problems with upgrade to 1st one.
I can’t communicate with the one with the flashing blue light.
Any suggestions?

If you haven’t done so already, use the forum search feature (magnifying glass icon upper right) to find several past discussions on the rapid flashing blue LED. There may be some suggestions in those past discussions that may help.

does not connect after updating to OS 5

Absolutely no access to MyCloud after incomplete autoupdate

The My Cloud will not try to install an incompatible firmware version. Having said that, auto-update has been known to brick some MyClouds. Does your MyCloud have the tell-tale rapid flashing blue light? If so, follow the instructions on this site by Fox_Exe: https://fox-exe.ru/WDMyCloud/

Success recover my MyCloud 3TB with fast blue blinking light after update firmware!

For the life of me… I cant seem to get past the USB boot I’m not sure if I need another USB. I’m using a SanDisk formatted to FAT32 unloaded zip file on the drive with the boot file, disconnected everything, connected the USB first, Cat6 second and power last all I get is rapid flashing blue lights no red. I’m slowly killing myself here.

Took over 24 hours for my MyClouds to stop indexing after I upgraded. How big is your drive?

It is a 6 TB. Did the blue light flash while during indexing? When I updated my 4 TB I could access it.

I could access the dashboard but the actual file folders just locked up until it was finished. Sorry, I don’t remember if the blue light was solid or flashing. My drives were a 3TB and a 4TB.
