Your computer is correctly detecting the USB-SATA bridge IC. It is also reporting the serial number of the drive behind the bridge (WX11Axxxxxxx).

Have you tried any HDD diagnostic utility such as Data LifeGuard, HD Sentinel, HDDScan?
