I bought Wd hd medial player today. But it doesnt detect my Black Armor HDD. Does anyone know to get my hdd to work with it. Or should I refund my money.
Black Armor is a NAS product, right? And the WDTV HD doesn’t have network connectivity, so how are you hooking it up?

Depends on which Black Armor. There is a USB2 and a USB3 version.
NAS = Ethernet
PS = USB
I am using black armor via usb 2.0. The hdd is password protected and there is no way to remove the password. Main reason for buying was to watch movies without having to use my PC all the time.
The only password protected drives the WDTVs will work with are WD Drives. If you can’t disable the password, I don’t think you can use it.
