Hello. I have Hdd WD1600avvs and it worked on my previous motherboard in IDE mode of SATA controller. But i have new motherboard without IDE controller, and it didnt recognize in AHCI mode… It doesnt recognize on the old motherboard it AHCI mode too… I formatted the hard drive, erased the WRB area, did zeros filling, did not help. With other hard drives in the same slots and with the same cables, there are no problems…
HDD supports NCQ technologi → AHCI technology too. Old motherboard ASUS h81m-plus, new - ASUS prime h270-plus. I have latest BIOS version of motherboards
Acronis see HDD normally, Windows installer - as HDD witm 0 Mb memory
