I own a hub and my in-laws just bought one. Neither of us is very tech savvy. I don’t have a network set up right now and was wondering if there’s a way to hardwire the two to do a complete transfer of all files from one onto another.

I’m not sure if the Hub’s SAMBA process is configured to be an eligible Local Master Browser.
Usually a computer on your network fulfills that role.
I have a macbook and can plug one hub via usb into one port and another hub via usb into another. But the hub’s hard drive doesn’t show up on my macbook. Any way to make it?
No, you can’t transfer via usb. You should be able to transfer using a network switch, you can pick up one cheap at Newegg.
