Being able to see images in the movie folders is actually quite useful. You can then use the MovieSheets generated with Thumbgen and you don’t have to install custom firmware to have them be useable. I have my movies separated into individual folders, and then when I go into the chosen movie folder I have"Film.avi" “folder.jpg” and now “Information.jpg” with the nice clean movie sheet like the one below. It’s working a treat, and if they were to make the player work “correctly” it just wouldnt work at all because I wouldnt be able to access jpgs in the movie portion of the media player.

but thats justt playing the jpg yourself not the jpg beiong displayed automatically, right?
