Before I buy one (Netflix)

Hi,

I need to know if I can enable Netflix on the WDBGXT0000NBK-EESN model sold in Germany ( Amazon Link). Some people say it doesn’t work because it is missing the DRM chip etc. and some say it works.

This is NOT a discussion that Netflix isn’t available in my country. I’m using Netflix for month now with unblock-us. I just want to know if I can enable it on the WD TV Live sold in my country or not.

Well we have Netflix in the UK and I can get Netflix OK. Your problem is more likely to be that because you do not have Netflix in Germany then due to WD geo location the Netflix icon will not appear on your player.

So it has nothing to do with the model number in the UK being different? 

UK: WDBGXT0000NBK- UESN

EU: WDBGXT0000NBK- EESN

I know that Netflix works on the UK model, since you have Netflix there. But what about the other European model? That’s what I want to know.

I have EU: WDBGXT0000NBK-EESN and I live in Russia .
Netflix there, but when trying to connect the message: “Netflix is not available in your country…”
I hope this is how it will help.
