Backup WD My Book Live to a remote My Cloud EX2

Hi,

I’m looking for you experts help.

At my small office I have a WD My Book Live which we use for our day to day business where all computers are linked up to it and acts as a shared drive for all computers on the network.

I purchased an EX2 with the intention of using it to keep offsite at my house so that I can remotely back up the My Book at the office.

I know that this can be done with RSync but I am having troubles fetting my head around the way to set it up so that it does the back ups.

Can anyone point me in the right direction or even better assist me in getting this set up?

Hi,

These are great as a use for rsync but my main issue is with getting it to do it over the internet.

Any further help you can supply will be very appreciated. Sorry in advance

Check out  Bittorrent sync. It can be instelled on both and they will sync with each other with no problems

Umm…where exactly do you see BitTorrent Sync app among the available apps on EX2?? →   http://www.wdc.com/en/products/products.aspx?id=1180#tab8

No, it’s not possible to install that app on EX2.
