I recently replaced a hard drive in my computer, and I used the WD Smartware retrieve process to restore my files onto the new drive. Now I need to backup my new drive. Since it should be identical to the last version of the drive that was backed-up, I would like to Smartware to backup to the same folder. My backup drive doesn’t have enough room to start a whole new partition for the new backup. Smartware doesn’t seem to recognize that the drive was backed-up and the backup volume already exists. Basically, I’d like to continue backup as if nothing happened. How can I do this?
You need to freeup sufficient space in order to create a new backup and this backup will store in WDSmartWare.swstor folder under your PC name. So as backup of new PC is creating, so it will store under your new PC name whether the files are same or not.
