New my book essentials 2 T, after install, after software update, the backup tab is grayed out. Don’t know how to fix it.

If the option for back up is dark, it means that the drive is not being detected by the software…
Check to see if the drive is being regconize by the computer, if it does, uninstall the software and install that again
How do I check to see if the drive is recognized by the computer?
Disk Management does list the drive so I am almost sure it is recognized.
Retrieve tab is also dark.
Should CCleaner be uninstalled prior to downloads?
Run fine with versin 1.4 but upgrade to 1.6 has created this problem.
Is uninstall / reinstall an option?
