Backup over internet to EX2

I am looking to see what the process would be to backup my laptop to an EX2 over the internet. Say I am on the road and my EX2 is at home but want to have my backups run. I am specificly want to have it happen with as little interaction as possible but from my previous experiences with a WD MyCloud, there are many hoops to jump through to map a network drive while not on my home network.

Anyone have experience with this? Best setup or software to use?

Some advanced Users use RSYNC to perform remote backups, but it requires advanced SSH knowledge.

Hi,

you should set up an VPN tunnel - most preferably with to your internet router.
After connecting to the VPN you can act like your at home. You should have a rather fast internet connection for this - at home and “on the road” :slight_smile:
